Between noon and 3-2 travelers to Emmaus (10 miles away 3-5 hour trip) meet Jesus
6pm?-They realize it is Jesus over dinner and rush back to Jerusalem to tell disciples (in the dark?)
9-10pm-They arrive in Jerusalem tell disciples and Jesus appears
Inconsistencies between the Gospels on the order of Easter morning events
Matthew Women go to the tomb, Earthquake! Angel rolls away stone, Going to tell the disciples they see Jesus
Mark Women go to tomb with spices, they wonder who will roll away the stone, the stone is rolled away when they arrive, they enter the tomb to find an angel inside
Luke Women go to tomb with spices and find the tomb open but empty then angels appear, they go tell the Disciples and Peter runs to the tomb
John Mary Magdalene goes to tomb sees stone rolled away, goes and tells disciples, Peter and John run to tomb, Peter enters first and find no Jesus, then they go home but Mary stays and looks in the tomb and finds 2 angels, turns around and finds Jesus
I don't think this shows that it didn't happen, this just seems more like the way real people would tell the story, some of whom had actually been there like John and some who had heard 2nd or 3rd hand like Mark.
