Freedom to interrupt our schedule

The sky was clear as the big orange sun was preparing to set in front of our van as we drove down Giles towards home, towards bedtime. Freedom seized me! I spun the van around and parked in full view of the setting sun and we all counted the seconds from when the sun was fully visible standing on the horizon to when it had disappeared...130 seconds! It was like watching a miracle and then when you think that someone else on the opposite side of the earth is watching it rise at the same time...AMAZING! The kids loved it.
